On August 27th, the Chinese-Portuguese Bilingual Teaching and Training Centre (CPC) received a delegation of teachers and students from the Shanghai Foreign Language School Affiliated (SFLS) to SISU at the Cultural Building of UM, including 15 students and 2 teachers. Prof. Zhang Jing, Director of CPC, Prof. Sara Santos, Program Director of the Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Dr. Lu Chunhui, and Dr. Luís Pires accompanied the delegation and expressed their warm welcome to the teachers and students from SFLS, and looked forward to seeing them again in the future at the University of Macau campus.

During the visit, teachers from both sides had an in-depth discussion on the development of Portuguese as a foreign language in China. They all agreed that in the future, it is not only necessary to strengthen the cooperation and exchanges between higher education institutions in the Mainland China and Macao, but also to promote the linkage between secondary schools and universities, so as to contribute to the cultivation of quality bilingual talents to meet the needs of the era.
