Promoting Portuguese in Macao and Mainland China aims to offer information about the teaching and learning situation of Portuguese in Macao and Mainland China.

A miscellany of texts presented in the book could provide us with a kaleidoscopic view of the proposed theme.

In a research project entitled Referencial de Português para falantes de Língua Materna Chinesa (MYRG2014-00045-FAH), funded by the University of Macao, a survey was carried out in fifteen higher education institutions in Macao and Mainland China  ( 1577). Most of the text in this book draws on the data collected in this project.

Some of the data was provided to professors and teaching staff who took part in the application of the surveys.

This book focuses on the interpretation of these data. We will discuss the topic of teaching and learning of Portuguese in this region of Asia

The Higher Education Support Office (GAES) has been encouraging the dissemination of Portuguese teaching in Macau.
